'Across Country' celebrates the Indigenous Australian art collection development since GOMA's opening in 2006, by highlighting major acquisitions. Many of the acquisitions in this display have been made possible by the generous support of members of the public, donors and benefactors through the Queensland Art Gallery Foundation. This dynamic hang encompasses works from across country; from urban centres to the rainforests of northern Queensland, from the Tiwi Islands to the Pilbara, and from the Western Desert to the Torres Strait Islands.
