Animals Who Think They are People
Aug 2000 - Oct 2000

'Animals Who Think They are People' depicts animals in human situations. The exhibition space is designed as a large-scale re-creation of Bella casa 1978-79 by Sandra Taylor ― a ceramic model of a 1960s house and garden occupied by a family of pigs.

Children can explore the art works inside the brightly coloured, life-size cartoon house. By pushing buttons, children activate sound recordings of animal voices that explain the art works. A live colony of mice live in the display throughout the duration of the exhibition.
