Unlike traditional exhibitions, 'Scary Monsters' is designed and installed like a carnival ghost-train ride complete with scary sound effects. It features paintings, sculptures, photographs, ceramics, carvings, a preserved toad, and a painting suspended by a spider's web.

Divided into three chambers, the exhibition explores the themes 'creepy creatures', 'nightmares' and 'demons, devils and dark places'. Children are encouraged to wander through the spine tingling dark chambers and explore the spooky displays.
