Martin Boyce was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1967 where he continues to live and work. He began exhibiting internationally in the early 1990s and is today among the most prominent Scottish artists of his generation. In 2009 he was Scotland’s representative at the Biennale of Venice and his work has been exhibited at prestigious institutions internationally including the New Museum, New York; Palais de Tokyo, Paris; Tate Britain, London; and the Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt.
