This pot shows Australia's largest raptor, the wedge-tailed eagle (Aquila audax) — one of the world's largest eagles. Before white settlement the wedge-tailed eagle preyed on small ground-dwelling mammals and other birds but the bulk of its prey is now the rabbit, an introduced species.
