This drawing features a quatrefoil with skeleton torso. Gimblett drew a self-portrait (holding a mirror) before drawing the skull motif and a skeleton form within a 'distorted' quatrefoil. He regards 'bone' as the eternal structure which prevails when the personality disintegrates. The skull and portrait move as two faces in association with each other.
