MUSASHI, Atsuhiko; Marks on marks no. II (moon light flow)
Atsuhiko Musashi was born in Kyoto, Japan in 1952 and educated in the United States: he received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington in 1976 and a Master of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1979. He regularly engages in projects abroad, he was artist-in-residence at the Canberra School of Art printmaking department during 1992 and held an exhibition at the Photospace Gallery at the School of Art during March and April the same year. Musashi's abstract imagery is sensuous and evocative. In technique, he is a consummate craftsman, layering different processes, such as lithography and collagraphy as exemplified in the work Marks on marks no. II (moon light flow).
