Arryn Snowball developed his poetic ‘House of breath’ series from photographs of simple suspended paper shapes carried by the wind. Through his choice of title, House of breath no.3 2014 suggests the fluid movement of the body, and even the physical change of states involved in the acts of inhalation and exhalation as air is absorbed and expelled from the body. More subtle still, we might think beyond physical terms of air and vapour to qualities of life and spirit, such as vitality and being.
