Sydney-based artist Cressida Campbell combines painting and printmaking techniques to create artworks that celebrate everyday scenes. Born in 1960, Campbell studied at East Sydney Technical College (1978–79), before spending several weeks in Tokyo at the Yoshida Hanga Academy studying Japanese woodblock printmaking in 1985. Ukiyo-e traditions have continued to influence Campbell, who exhibits both woodblock prints and hand-painted woodblocks themselves. In recognition of her service to the visual arts, Campbell was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 2024.
