‘Spectrum’ brings together abstract art from across the Australian Art collection. These dynamic artworks, which span from the late 1960s to the contemporary period, sample the diverse ways Australian artists have explored colour, material and form.
Inspired by varied stimuli including jazz music, geological forces and domestic design, they evidence the ongoing legacy of visual experimentation in Australian art.
'Spectrum' is on display from July 2025 to February 2026 in the Watermall, QAG. To make the most of your visit, check the exhibition dates, get information on getting here and parking, and find out about Gallery accessibility.
