Plain capes known as Tulbus are worn as shelter by clanswomen during ceremony, where they protect the wearer from any harmful spirits. Two Tulbus, worn together, provide protection from the three sides that cannot be directly observed by the wearer.

The Tulbus are also used as shelter from sun and rain. Both chiefly and lower-ranking clans women wear unmarked Tuhu to the garden.
