Lindy Rontji’s simply incised waved lines evoke the sandhills that form around the Papunya area, a part of Rontji’s country to the west of Hermannsburg. These sandhills feature on the western most edges of Arrernte country, in the desert areas beyond the monoliths of the Western MacDonnell Ranges.
