APT9: Travel with curators
Regional snapshots
In the countdown to APT9, QAGOMA curators travelled across the Asia Pacific to deepen their understanding of contemporary art in this large and ever-changing region. Conducted in countries from Iran through to those in West, Central and South Asia and the Pacific, this travel informed our selection of artists, as well as generated future avenues of research. On these intense trips, curators meet with artists, view exhibitions, visit commercial galleries and private museums, and engage with experts in the sector. Join them on their travels via these personal accounts.
Curatorial travel for APT9 was assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body.
