Kapa Haka (Whero) is a shiny, larger-than-life security guard. The artist used the same paint that we use on our cars to make him look shiny and more unreal. Each of the 13 security guards made by the artist is named after a colour in the Māori language. This guard is called ‘Whero’ or ‘red’. ‘Kapa Haka’ means a dance or song, but this guard is very still and is perhaps showing how hard it is to work in a job like this.
Can you pretend to be a museum security guard? How long can you stand still the way he is standing?
