This work is a sketch of Thai art collector Peera Ditbunjong (1949-2003). Noted as both a curator and collector, Ditbunjong was highly regarded for his financial support of many of Thailand's most significant contemporary artists during the early part of their careers. Sitthiket and Ditbunjong met for the first time at an exhibition opening of Sitthiket's work in late 1991 and this portrait in profile was created soon after. A sense of intimacy is created with Ditbunjong's face completely filling the page. This is enhanced by the swift and confident brushstrokes that make the sketch seem as if it has only just been completed, or that Ditbunjong may move at any moment.
