WHITEHOUSE, F.W.
1880 - 1927

1880, Leamington, England – 1927, Esk–Fernvale, Queensland

Frederick William Whitehouse studied at the Birmingham School of Art in England. After moving to Australia, it is likely he taught art in Bathurst in regional New South Wales in 1905, before trying his luck at farming. We do know that Whitehouse exhibited with the Queensland Art Society in 1908, so, perhaps, by that time he was living in Brisbane. Around 1920, Whitehouse moved with his family to the Esk–Fernvale region in south-east Queensland, where he died in 1927.
