SHABBIR, Wardha
1987 - present

Wardha Shabbir completed a Bachelor of Arts in Miniature Painting from The National College of Arts, Lahore in 2011, graduating with Honours and receiving the prestigious Principals Honors Award. She then continued to lecture at NCA for several years while completing a number of international residencies. Shabbir was selected as a finalist for the Jameel Art Prize in 2019 at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, and has been nominated for the Sovereign Asian Art Prize in 2019 and 2020. She was included in the 2014 Dhaka Art Summit and the 2018 Lahore Biennale, and recently staged a major solo exhibition for Lahore Literary Festival 2023. Shabbir’s work is held in several collections around the world including the British Museum.
