This pot displays Elaine Namatjira’s painterly skills and traditional brushwork learned from her experience as a watercolourist in the tradition of her grandfather Albert. The owl is shown in mid flight around the Hermannsburg area, gliding over the vast open landscape in search of small marsupials and lizards.
