KITH AND KIN | INSCRIBING A LIFE
Exhibition story

An artist stands with his room-scale installation work at the Australia Pavillion of the Venice Biennale

Two complementary displays — 'Archie Moore: kith and kin' and 'Inscribing a Life' — are in dialogue in GOMA's Galleries 3.3 & 3.4 (Marica Sourris and James C. Sourris AM Galleries) from September 2025 to October 2026.

Awarded the Golden Lion for Best National Participation at La Biennale de Venezia 2024, Archie Moore's kith and kin traces the artist’s Kamilaroi and Bigambul relations over 65,000+ years. Displayed adjacent to this major installation, 'Inscribing a Life' features artworks that grapple with the vast scale and the deep time of the universe.
