In these luminous linocut prints, Evelyn McGreen depicts a variety of baskets containing traditional foods and plants. Each basket is woven with a specific plant or distinctive weave particular to the bag’s contents. Skilled in the art of basketry, McGreen developed this series of works from a lifetime of living, working and creating on her Country, which imbues the works with palpable sense of place and purpose.
